Oral high branched-chain amino acids and low aromatic amino acids enteral formula for patients with hepatic impairment

Presentation:   Powder (Orange Flavored), 450 grams in CAN package 

Description:   Aminoleban-Oral is an enteral formula containing amino acid, CHO, fat, vitamins and minerals to supplement the dietary intake in patients with hepatic impairments.  The preparation has an amino acids composition consisting of high concentrations of BCAA and low concentrations of AAA according to Fischer's formula.

Aminoleban-Oral thus prepared is highly effective not only in correcting plasma amino acid imbalance but also in treating hepatic encephalopathy and in providing adequate nutritional support to the patients.

Indications:   Improvement of the nutritional state of chronic hepatic insufficiency patients including those with or/without hepatic encephalopathy 

Dosage & Administration:   Usually for adults, reconstitute 50g. (approx. 5 scoops of spoon) of Aminoleban-Oral in about 180 ml of warm water (approximately 210 kcal/200mL) and ingest three times a day during the meals and before go to bed.  Total of protein from Aminoleban-Oral will be 40.5g. per day and supply energy 630 kcal.  The dosage may be adjusted according to the age of the patients and severity of symptomsFor oral or tube feeding preparation, to reconstitute, pour about 180 (360) ml of warm water or ca. 50C into container, add the entire content of Aminoleban-Oral 50 (100) g. and thoroughly reconstitute.  The volume of the reconstitution is approximately 200 (400) ml, and provides about 1 kcal/ml of energy.  For tube feeding, transfer into an enteral feeding bag or bottle.  Always follow clean handling techniques to avoid contamination during preparation and use.   

Precautions:   If the reconstituted product is not used immediately, refrigerate and administer within 24 hours. 

Cautions for usage:   The product is intended oral feeding administration and should not be administered into the blood vessel.  Boiling water should not be used for reconstituted to avoid denaturation of the protein.  Flavors and fibrous vegetables may be mixed with the preparatory to improve palatability.  Fresh fruit juice should not be combined since the acids of the fruit juices may cause gel formation.  The regular daily dosage (150 g.) of this product provides 40.5 g. of protein and a total 630 kcal.  When the patient needs more protein and calories the balance should be supplemented in the patient diet. 

Storage:  Unopened Aminoleban-Oral should be stored at temperature below 30C (but not in refrigerator).  Covering the close lid tightly and keep in dry and cold place when the can is opened.
